We offer pickup from the high school during the school year for the 5pm-7pm class.
TEA requirements for teen driver education:
- Student should be 15-17 years of age. A student 14 years of age may enter and start program, but may not receive an instruction permit or receive in-car driving lessons until they turn 15 years of age.
- 32 hours of classroom theory (16 sessions – 2 hours each session). Class schedule: Monday – Thursday 5:00 – 7:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm during the school year. We are closed Sundays and major holidays.

- 14 hours of in-car training with licensed instructor (7 hours of actual driving, 7 hours of observing). In-car training begins once the student obtains a Texas Driving Permit. Driving lessons are scheduled by appointment only, Monday –Friday 5:00-9:00pm and Saturday 8:00 am – 12:00pm and 1:00 – 5:00pm.
- 20 hours of behind-the-wheel practice with a qualified adult.
Students must complete 6 hours (3 days) of class instruction. Students are then tested and issued a state certificate to present to DPS along with birth certificate, verification of enrollment at high school, (2) forms of proof student is resident of Texas ( report card SS card, or student ID), (2) forms of ID for parent ( insurance card, voter ID, bank statement, work badge), and notarized application.
Students will receive a state certificate acknowledging completion of the state requirements for driver education. Students are also provided a certificate qualifying them for automobile insurance discounts. **See your insurance agent for details
The course fee is $380.00 which includes the 32 hours of classroom instruction and 14 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction. We accept cash, credit card, and money orders.
